Completing a round and attendance

After you play, the host marks the round complete and records who turned up. That record builds each golfer’s playing history: the rounds they have played, where, and who with.

Only the host can complete a round, and only once its tee time, or the end of its window, has passed. Golf Buds reminds the host to do it after the round. On the completion screen the host sees:

Mark who played so it counts toward everyone’s playing history.

The host marks each confirmed golfer as attended or a no-show, then confirms. Before anything is saved, Golf Buds asks:

Mark this round complete? This can’t be undone, and it records attendance for everyone confirmed.

Completing is final. The host cannot reopen a completed round or change its attendance afterwards.

Each confirmed golfer on a completed round has one attendance label on the roster:

  • Attended The golfer played. The round counts in their playing history.
  • No-show The host recorded that the golfer did not turn up.
  • Disputed no-show The golfer has disputed a no-show. This label replaces No-show; the two are never shown together.

Who can see your playing history depends on your visibility settings.

If the host marked you as a no-show and you did play, tap Dispute this on the round. Golf Buds asks you to confirm:

Dispute this no-show? A Golf Buds moderator will review it — this doesn’t change your recorded status yet.

Once you confirm, the round shows:

You disputed this. A Golf Buds moderator will review it.

A dispute does not change your record straight away. A Golf Buds moderator looks at it.

If you were a confirmed golfer and the host did not turn up, you can report it from the round with Report host as no-show. Golf Buds asks:

Report the host as a no-show for this round? Golf Buds reviews it once every confirmed golfer on this round has reported the same thing.

After you report it, the round shows:

You reported the host as a no-show. Golf Buds reviews this once every confirmed golfer has reported it.

One golfer’s report on its own is not enough. Golf Buds only reviews a host no-show once everyone who was confirmed on the round agrees.
